At the End of your Comfort Zone

What does it look like, the END of your comfort zone?

Have you ever thought of this question? I have and I don’t know that I complete understand the question. You see one thing I’m learning is that the end of my comfort zone is scary. I dislike being in a vulnerable state, I don’t know where this comes from but I do know that I feel safe and secure in my comfort zone.

Safety and security are very high standards for me but unfortunately that space that I call my “comfort zone” tho safe is very l i m i t i n g. I don’t take risk because I don’t want people to think negatively about me. I am afraid of failing and perhaps even afraid of success. I mean who is afraid of success?! Isn’t success what everyone is searching for? Surprisingly no, not everyone is comfortable with success. Why is that?!

I’ve come to realize that success just like your comfort zone depends more on your mindset than it does on hard work. I’m not speaking of laziness but rather plain work. I see many people work hard yet still never successful. Never pushing past the boundaries of their comfort zone, always stress to want a change but never really taking the action necessary to make the change.

Why is it then that we [people] want change but don’t take action to create the change we want. Again it starts in our minds, our thoughts, and our beliefs. We convince ourselves that our comfort zone is the safest place to be and we decide to NOT make any changes keeping us from reaching our full potential and living the life we want.

What’s keeping you from achieving what you want? What’s holding you back? Your comfort zone is an enemy of your future. . .a hindrance to your success. . .a stumbling block to your destiny. Stepping out of your comfort zone allows you to live the life God intends.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. —2 Timothy 1:7

Living in your comfort zone limits you, it keeps you from exploring new opportunities in life. Your soul needs exploration and growth it seeks to be satisfied but when its hinder from growth it remains stagnant. This is when you start to feel bored and stuck in life.  The only way to minimize this feelings is by forcing yourself to meet this basic need of growth. Do it by getting out of your head, get past your feelings/emotions, and step outside your comfort zone. Its ok to make mistakes, to fail, to feel vulnerable, it is in that discomfort that growth happens.

Remember, God uses all of our experiences to build us into who we are supposed to be. Reaching our full potential requires a little discomfort, a whole lot of Faith, and some stepping out! (Romans 8:28.)  Try something new, step out in faith, and reach for higher ground. It is simple but not easy. Seek God for strength, power, and courage to step out of your comfort zone and into an abundant life.

What would you gain if you take the courage to step outside your comfort zone? How will your career/business change, your relationships, your faith, your mindset?!

Share with me in the comments in what areas can you push your boundaries a little bit more to step out of your comfort zone?!
